I was traveling from Lahore towards Islamabad and stopped to take a break at a rest area on the motorway. I bought chips and a cold drink from a shop, but was shocked to find that the prices had gone up. Chips, normally Rs 30, cost me Rs 120. I found this unacceptable.
As I continued my journey, I noticed that the cold drink tasted strange. I checked the expiry date and found that it had expired four months ago. Food authorities should inspect shops and seal shops that sell expired and overpriced items.
