Gold prices in Pakistan recorded another decline on Monday due to a drop in international rates. In the local market, gold price per tola fell by Rs 1,700 to Rs 274,500 in a day.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) combined rates, 10 grams of gold was sold at Rs 235,340 after falling by Rs 1,457.
On Saturday, the price of gold in Pakistan decreased by Rs 1100 per tola.
The international price of gold fell on Monday. The rate was $2,633 an ounce (with a premium of $20) after a $17 drop during the day, according to APGJSA.
On the other hand, the price of silver per tola remained at Rs 3400.
Globally, gold prices snapped a four-session rally on Monday, pressured by a stronger U.S. dollar and profit-taking, as investors looked to the Federal Reserve for clues on the outlook for monetary policy. Key US economic data was awaited.
