PESHAWAR: Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology has decided to launch an international scholarship scheme for talented students from neighboring countries and Palestine.
The GIK Institute Board of Governors (BoG) in a meeting on Thursday approved to start a new initiative from the academic year 2025 to grant scholarships to deserving students from neighboring countries.
“The objective of this initiative is to help those meritorious students who do not have the financial resources to pursue higher education in quality educational institutions like GIKI in Pakistan,” said a statement issued here.
Upon its implementation, the scholarship scheme covers a significant portion of tuition fees and other related expenses, ensuring that these students can focus on their studies without financial burden while acquiring quality knowledge.
This initiative is aimed at promoting GIKI’s international collaboration and providing educational opportunities in field engineering sciences, management and technology to students from diverse backgrounds and from neighboring countries such as Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Palestine. It is part of commitment.
