The contest, held in New York, offered a $50 prize. Miles Mitchell from Staten Island won, dressed as Willy Wonka, and even made a surprise appearance from Chalamet himself.

In Ireland, contestants mimicked Mescale’s signature look: white sports shorts, a hoodie and headphones. Jack Wall O’Reilly, known as “Earbuds Paul”, won after performing a line. Ordinary people.

In San Francisco, the competition was a joke turned serious. The 20 contestants were whittled down to two in the final: Jaipreet Hindal and Arjun Sheth. Jaipreet Hindal won after an entertaining contest with Arjun Sheth, taking home $50 and flowers.

In Maria Hernandez Park in Brooklyn, a competition based on the appearance of famous One Direction member Zayn Malik was held. The prize was a free tattoo, courtesy of a local tattoo artist. Contestant Shiv Patel, 29, from Queens, who entered the pageant after years of friends insisting he bears an uncanny resemblance to the British gangster, won.

The BTS maknae look-alike competed at the event held at Ping Tom Memorial Park in Chicago, Illinois. The action saw the three finalists dressed in a variety of black outfits. Ultimately, Andrew Alexander, a widely known YouTube sensation, was crowned the winner, receiving a $20 prize and a bottle of soju.
