Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to conduct inspection of all government and private vehicles under its anti-smog plan.
The decision was taken on the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. According to the orders, fitness certificate has been made mandatory for all vehicles across Punjab and small and big vehicles will have to obtain a certificate from the fitness certificate authority. In this regard, orders have been sent to the secretaries of all provincial ministries and all commissioners across Punjab. It states that fitness certificates should be obtained for all vehicles used by all ministries and their sub-departments. The Punjab government has set a deadline of January 30 and directed all the ministries and departments to inspect the vehicles by this date.
