Bulawayo: Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first in the final T20I of the three-match series against Zimbabwe at the Queen’s Sports Club on Thursday.
The men in green have already won the three-match series against Zimbabwe 2-0. The national team won the first match by 57 runs and the second match by 10 wickets.
A day ago, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the Green Shirts playing XI for the final T20I with four changes in the line-up.
Under the leadership of Salman Ali Agha, the final XI includes Umair bin Yusuf, Sahibzada Farhan, Usman Khan, Tayyab Tahir, Qasim Akram, Arafat Minhas and Jehandad Khan.
The bowling side consists of Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Hasnain and Sufian Moqim.
In the first T20I of the series, Abrar Ahmed and Sufyan led Pakistan to a 57-run win over Zimbabwe at the Queen’s Sports Club on Sunday. Both took three wickets while Haris Rauf took two wickets and Jahandad Khan took one.
Chasing a target of 164 runs, Zimbabwe’s batting unit collapsed for 108 runs in 15.3 overs despite a blistering run from skipper Sikandar Raza and opener Tadiwanashe Marumani.
In the second match, the Green Shirts won by 10 wickets on Tuesday.
Chasing a modest total of 58 runs, Pakistan scored the winning runs inside the batting powerplay without losing a wicket.
Left-handed opener Saeem Ayub was the main aggressor of the match-winning stand, courtesy his blistering 18-ball 36, which included six fours and a six.
