Eva Longoria is making a big donation to LA Wildfire Relief.
The actress earned the honor by donating seven figures while helping those affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
The actress and her foundation have pledged $1 million to help wildfire victims, building on the $50 million Jeff Bezos Courage and Solitude Award she received earlier this year.
Longoria, who won the prestigious award in March, has a decade of donating funds to philanthropic causes. She’s already putting the money to good use, with a major contribution aimed at providing aid to those displaced by the fire.
Donations will go to Julián Castro’s Latino Community Foundation and the California Community Foundation, which will focus on the immediate and long-term needs of families who have lost everything.
Wildfires, including the Palisades and Eaton fires, ravaged Los Angeles, destroying more than 12,000 structures and displacing thousands of families. With such extensive damage, all support for recovery efforts is vital.
Longoria’s donation is part of a wider wave of support from other celebrities contributing to relief efforts. Among them are Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Anthony Davis, and Jason Oppenheim, who are donating their resources to help affected communities during this difficult time.
