At the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, the legendary musician, 77, took the stage with Brandi Carlyle to present the award for Best Original Score – Motion Picture.

“There have been a lot of stories about my regressive look, and I just want to reassure everyone that it’s not as bad as it seems,” he told the audience, reassuring his fans.
He added a touch of humor by introducing Carlyle as “Rihanna” before taking over the presentation. Carlyle, 43, described the film’s score as an “emotional landscape” that creates a “conversation with the audience through music”.
In a previous interview with Good morning Americathe musician revealed that he lost sight in his right eye due to an infection during a summer vacation in France in July 2024.
“It kind of engulfed me, and I can’t see anything. I can’t read anything, I can’t see anything,” he shared. His left eye, though still functional, is not in the best condition, affecting his ability to read lyrics or watch media.
