Donald Trump has opened up about his “great conversation” with Prince William, sharing details of their private conversation during their meeting in Paris on Saturday.
The Prince of Wales met the 78-year-old US president-elect after the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral.
The two leaders sat for an open discussion in the living room of the British Ambassador’s residence in Salon June.
Addressing the The New York PostTrump revealed that he took the opportunity to ask about the health of King Charles, who is undergoing treatment, and the Princess of Wales, who completed chemotherapy in September, while performing royal duties.
The two spoke privately for more than half an hour at the British ambassador’s residence after the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral.
“I asked him about his wife, and he said she’s doing fine,” Trump said. “And I asked him about his dad, and he said his dad is fighting so hard. He loves his dad and his wife, so it was sad.”
He also offered some compliments to the prince, praising his looks. “He’s a good looker,” Trump commented. “He looked really handsome. Some people look better in person? He looked great. I told him.”
The two also exchange lighthearted conversation, with William asking Donald if he’s warmed up after the cold incident. “It was a beautiful ceremony,” he replied.
Before leaving, he called Prince “a good man” and praised his work. “He’s doing a fantastic job,” Trump added.
