ISLAMABAD: Chairman and CEO of Global Trade Expo Center Pakistan Mazhar Thathal held a productive meeting with Federal Minister for Trade and Commerce Jam Kamal Khan at the Ministry of Commerce office in Islamabad. According to a press release, the discussions focused on advancing Pakistan’s global trade prospects and creating new opportunities for the country’s business community.
An important topic of discussion was the MDR (Medical Device Regulation) license for Pakistani surgical exporters. Both parties stressed the urgent need to simplify and speed up the licensing process, which would increase market access for Pakistani surgical equipment and medical devices in Europe and beyond. Minister Jam Kamal Khan emphasized the importance of adhering to international quality standards to improve the competitiveness of Pakistan’s medical and surgical sector globally.
The visiting British trade delegation, organized by the UK High Commission in Pakistan, was also addressed in the meeting. The delegation is ready to explore new avenues for cooperation in trade, investment and technology exchange between the two countries.
