LAHORE: The 5th two-day international conference on ‘Advances in Materials Sciences’ began on Wednesday at the University of Education, Lahore.
Rector Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering and Technology Professor Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid was the chief guest of the opening ceremony, while Vice Chancellor of University of Education Lahore Prof. Dr. Akif Anwar Chaudhry presided over the ceremony as patron. -In-chief conference gathered more than 500 participants including 150 key speakers, experts and analysts from 15 countries including Australia, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, China, Algeria, Malaysia, Peru, Egypt, South Korea, Morocco and Pakistan. went
The event aims to explore emerging opportunities and challenges in material sciences, artificial intelligence, economic industry applications, commercial innovations, and advanced education in nanotechnology for the coming era.
Addressing the audience, the Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid congratulated the University of Education for organizing a global platform that promotes innovative thinking in material sciences. He remarked, ‘This conference will play an important role in achieving the country’s development goals by promoting modern research and international cooperation.’
In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Akif Anwar Chaudhry highlighted the importance of integrating scientific research with the socio-economic needs of the society.
