Demi Moore earned it first The Golden Globe trophy on Sunday for his role in “The Substance.”
Upon stepping on stage to accept the award, Moore, 61, admitted that she was “in shock.”
“I’ve been doing this for a long time, like over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve won anything as an actor,” Moore told the audience at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

After catching her breath and saying she was “very humbled, very grateful,” Moore recalled a time in her career when a producer told her she was just a “popcorn actress.”

“At the time, I took that to mean that it wasn’t something I was allowed to do … that I couldn’t admit,” Moore said.
“I bought, and I was sure … it screwed me overtime.”
She added, “A few years ago I thought that was it. Maybe I was perfect, I did what I had to do. At a low point, this bonkers script came across my desk. The universe gave me Told me I didn’t happen.”
Moore remembers a woman who told her to stop competing with others, and that she would never “be enough,” but how it was important to know one’s worth if only to “put the marking stick down.” ”
