Jhang: Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar on Tuesday directed the Assistant Commissioners of the four tehsils to personally ensure the supply of vegetables, fruits and flour bags in the open markets.
He asked the officers to focus on all the wholesalers instead of taking action against small vendors. The DC directed the District Food Controller (DFC) to personally inspect flour mills and ensure full production of flour bags with standard quality in all open markets instead of relying on computer typed reports of subordinates. .
He also directed the Price Control Magistrates to concentrate on supplying all the commodities of daily use in all the markets at fixed low rates as they (DC) produce flour, sugar, grocery vegetables, fruits, meat. And will monitor the supply itself. and other items to provide relief to the common man.
Apart from this, DC Ali Akbar also presided over the meeting held to review the progress of development projects. He directed the XENs of Highway and Building Department, Assistant Director of Local Government Department and heads of other concerned departments to speed up the completion of all ongoing schemes by ensuring good quality of work.
