PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has successfully collected Rs 24.2 billion in the first six months of the fiscal year 2024-25, a remarkable growth of 45 percent over the same period last year.
Last year it collected Rs 16.7 billion in the first six months, an official statement said. According to details shared by KPRA’s media wing, the authority has collected Rs 18.15 billion from sales tax on services and Rs 6.07 billion. From the Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC), a 24 percent increase in sales tax on services and a staggering 189 percent increase in IDC. Sales tax on services collected Rs 14.6 billion during the same period last year, while IDC collected Rs 2.1 billion.
Director General KPRA, Fauzia Iqbal appreciated the dedication and hard work of the KPRA team which has resulted in outstanding performance during the last six months. He expressed his confidence that with continuous efforts, the annual revenue target will not only be achieved but also exceeded to a great extent.
