ISLAMABAD: Legal action has been initiated against the Islamabad police personnel who excused themselves from duty during the PTI protest.
On the instructions of the Inspector General of Police Islamabad, the AIG establishment of the federal capital issued a circular for disciplinary action against the officers absent from duty. Action has been ordered to be initiated against the officials absent from duty on the days of PTI protest (November 23 to November 26). Absentees may be punished with severe punishment along with dismissal from service. Lists of absent officers and details of disciplinary action against them have been sought from all DIGs/AIGs.
