Kohat: Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Mutasimullah Shah and other officials on Thursday demanded from Karam district to provide all possible facilities to the temporarily displaced people.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Commissioner along with other officials visited the camp in Hangu to review the arrangements for the displaced persons. Deputy Commissioner Hangu Gohar Zaman Wazir while briefing the Commissioner said that the district administration had set up this camp with the support of Pakistan Red Crescent Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the instructions of the provincial government.
He said that despite the limited resources, the district administration has ensured the provision of all kinds of basic facilities like kitchens, blankets, bed sheets and other essentials in 40 camps. He further said that special arrangements have been made for water, electricity, washroom and sanitation in the camp.
He said that separate space had been allocated for men and women, adding that a medical camp had also been set up. “The district administration is in constant touch with PDMA, NDMA, UNOCHA and various other NGOs and institutions to facilitate the victims,” he added. The commissioner directed the Hangu administration to leave no stone unturned in serving the victims of Karam district and provide them with all basic amenities.
