Christmas is celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm and heartfelt devotion, reflecting the vibrant culture of the country’s Christian community. Prayer services are being organized in different cities, worshipers are being gathered together and sincere prayers are being asked for peace, security and development of the country.
Speaking at the Christmas celebrations at the Prime Minister’s House, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the main agenda of the country’s development and prosperity depends on the protection of the rights of the Christian community and other minorities.
He emphasized that the day calls upon the nation to join forces for the betterment of mankind. “The Qur’an mentions Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Maryam (peace be upon him), today the birthplace of Hazrat Jesus (peace be upon him) is a bloodbath.
