Celine Dion can’t believe it’s been nine years since her husband Rene Angel died, as she and her children are still mourning his loss.
The legendary songstress, 56, marked the ninth anniversary of her husband’s death when she took to Instagram on Tuesday, January 14, and shared an emotional note for him.
“Renee, we can’t believe it’s been nine years since you’ve been gone. Not a day goes by that we don’t feel your presence, RC, Eddie, Nelson and I. You’re my biggest champion, My partner, and the one who always saw the best in me. I respect you and miss you forever. We love you. —Celine xx…,” of her sons He wrote along with his heartwarming photo.
In the photo, the Queen of Powerballs is seen wearing a cream sweater and sweatpants as she smiles with her and Angel’s son Renee Charles, 23, and twins Nelson and Eddie, 14.
Angel died in 2016 at the age of 73 after a battle with throat cancer.
The couple first met when Angel was 38 and Dion was 12, and waited seven years to go on their first romantic date when the singer turned 19.
The loved ones then finally exchanged vows on December 17, 1994 at Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal.
