ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Tuesday sought solutions to the long-standing problems related to gas in the federal capital from the General Manager (GM) of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) here. met for Focused on enhancing cooperation between the two organizations and implementing solutions to Islamabad’s gas infrastructure and supply challenges.
GMS NGPL announced that the work to replace the old gas pipeline network of the city will start soon in key areas. To speed up the process, Chairman Randhawa directed CDA’s Engineering and Environment Wings to issue No Objection Certificates (NOCs) immediately. He also assured full cooperation from the authority to facilitate the alternative project.
To address the gas shortage in winter, SNGPL shared its plans to ensure uninterrupted supply during meal times. Additionally, steps are being taken to increase gas pressure across the city. Highlighting the priority projects, Chairman CDA emphasized the urgent need to provide gas connection for Gandhara Citizen Club in Sector F-9. He also appreciated the speedy work of SNGPL to change the service lines to accommodate the mega projects in Islamabad. The meeting ended with the two institutions reiterating their commitment to future cooperation, aimed at effectively addressing efficiency and infrastructure challenges in the capital.
