a campaign official said earlier this month Vice President Kamala Harris backed down. on “The Joe Rogan Experience” because of “concerns about how the interview would be perceived within the Democratic Party” and “backlash with some of our progressive staff who didn’t want him involved.”

Now, as a number of political commentators continue to argue how the Rogan snub hurt Harris, Carville blasted the staffer’s influence.

Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville tore progressive Democrats to pieces, arguing that they helped sink Harris’s campaign.

The veteran campaigner explained how to deal with young staff who try to express their opinions.

“When you run a campaign and you put young people to work, I tell you exactly what you tell those people. What I tell them: ‘Not only do I not care about your opinion. Yes, but I won’t even call you by your name, you’re 23 years old, I don’t really care what you think.

“And let me tell you another huge mistake, a huge mistake that was made when people said, ‘Campaigns need to reflect progressive values.’ No, they don’t, they are not authoritarian in nature.

“If I was running the 2028 campaign and I had a 23-year-old with a short nose saying, ‘I’m going to resign if you do this,’ not only would I fire that mother on the spot.” I’ll find out who hired them and fire that person on the spot!” He added. “I’m not really interested in you clueless, stupid, jackass– whether to go on Rogan or not.”

While Carville has said that identity politics helped sink Harris’ campaign, some, like comedian Jon Stewart, have argued that it did not. Carville called them out, arguing that even if Harris’ campaign reduced awareness, conservatives haven’t forgotten the fact that Democrats raced him for years.

“You’re wrong! It’s been used! Look in politics—in comedy, who responds if you tell a bad joke? In politics, if you have a bad policy, you can throw it away. There are, but it’s a two-way thing.”

Carville later lamented that many Democrats had to “lose the election because of stupidity Which we had in the early part of this decade. My heart goes out to you, you all served your country and your party with great distinction, you should be missed and I’m sorry that these holes contributed so much to your losing your job.”

He then sarcastically argued that the progressive Democrats got what they wanted at the cost of victory.

“I guess the progressives have had their dream now,” Carville joked. “We’re more than a beach party, and we’ve gotten rid of all these moderates, and maybe you can all sit around a coffee house in Lower Manhattan and celebrate how smart you all are. are.”

Carville has argued for months in the lead-up to the election, and after Trump’s victory, that the Democratic Party needs to ignore its messages. Earlier this year, Carville made headlines when he warned that “preacher women” and “feminine” messaging were alienating male voters. After Trump’s victory, he has said that the Democrats have it. The “stink” of awareness clings to them.
