PESHAWAR: The Overseas Business Forum, UK on Thursday emphasized exploring the tourism and export potential of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Forum Chairman Muhammad Farooq Khan highlighted the deep connection of Pakistanis living abroad with their homeland.

Which was the biggest obstacle in the way of development of Pakistan. He lamented Pakistan’s lagging export performance, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where exports were almost non-existent, terming it alarming.
Farooq Khan expressed a strong desire to see tourism flourish in Pakistan, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He described KP as a treasure of natural beauty and resources. He announced plans to hold an international expo that will showcase Pakistani products, with the aim of promoting exports and attracting investment. At a recent function held in Mardan, he said, the forum provided guidelines to local chamber of commerce members to improve exports and tourism.
Farooq Khan also said that members of the forum met Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to discuss mutual tourism initiatives. He said that we have agreed to work on new projects aimed at promoting tourism in the region.
Overseas Business Forum UK called upon the federal and provincial governments to implement sincere and effective policies to pave the way for Pakistan’s development. “The forum is ready to extend full support to Pakistan’s business community to ensure growth and prosperity,” Farooq added.
