Businessman Ghulam Bilal nominated as Chairman of Standing Committee

PESHAWAR: Prominent businessman Ghulam Bilal Javed was appointed as the Chairman of Peshawar Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry Standing Committee on Peace and Order on Thursday.

A communication said that Ghulam Bilal Javed is a founding member of Peshawar Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry. After his appointment, he presided over a meeting where he expressed concern over the worsening law and order situation in the city and the growing threat to the business community in the form of extortion calls. Ghulam Bilal said that the current situation has made it more and more difficult to do business in Peshawar, the business community is working under increasing insecurity and fear day by day. He promised to take up these issues with the government and announced regular monthly meetings with senior police officers to help control crime.
