LAHORE: Secretary School Education Department (SED) Punjab Khalid Nazir Watto has instructed the private school owners to strictly follow the court orders and warned that any kind of negligence on the part of the department will not be tolerated in this regard.
Secretary SED Punjab issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting of private school owners on the issue of transport on Tuesday.
In the meeting, there was a discussion regarding the implementation of the orders of the Lahore High Court regarding the provision of bus service by the educational institutions. During the meeting, some school owners expressed reservations on certain issues.
Addressing the meeting, Vito emphasized that the SED is bound to follow the court’s directives and will take all necessary steps to ensure their implementation. He said that private schools should provide bus facilities to students in all circumstances and there will be no compromise on the fitness of these buses. Vito further highlighted the importance of measures to control smog in light of the court’s directives.
