The royal family’s social media accounts shared the Duchess of Edinburgh’s latest photos on Thursday with a special tribute to the stalwart royal.
The photos were captioned: “Duchess of Edinburgh visits Community Shop, the UK’s first social supermarket, at their Lambeth store in south London.”
The statement continues: “The social enterprise sells surplus produce donated by food industry partners at deeply discounted prices, preventing unnecessary food waste and providing a sustainable support model for thousands of families each year. .
“The site is also home to a community hub, which provides a full support program to empower individuals, and a community kitchen, which serves home-cooked meals for the community with children eating free every day. ”
