ISLAMABAD: PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram on Wednesday announced the boycott of the All Parties Conference (APC) called by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In a statement, he said that PTI represents the people of the province and the decision to boycott APC was made on the basis of PPP’s silent facilitation in the massacre of innocent and peaceful citizens.
Waqas said that this decision was taken in view of the connivance of assassins for political wages, adding that PPP is fully supporting the government’s nefarious agenda of banning PTI.
He claimed that the PPP played a role in the passage of the ban resolution by the Balochistan Assembly while it was engaged in “rounding up and harassing our workers in Sindh”.
The spokesperson of PTI said that the People’s Party wants to give the impression of being pro-democracy by holding lifeless exhibition rallies. He further said that PPP has no mandate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He criticized Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for trying to deceive foreign diplomats by spreading false information about the recent Islamabad ‘massacre’.
He alleged that the Foreign Minister gave a false statement that the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) were not supplied with live ammunition but were armed with water cannons, tear gas and batons despite the fact that 12 people were martyred when Dozens of people were seriously injured due to direct firing.
