Bob Dylan superfan Elle Fanning says costar Timothée Chalamet made her cry.




Elle Fanning was initially skeptical of her longtime partner Bob Dylan’s role.

Elle Fanning was left a changed woman when she watched Timothee Chalamet transform into Bob Dylan for his upcoming biopic, A complete unknown.

Addressing the wrapAt the 2024 Rap Women Power Women Summit in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, December 3, the 26-year-old actress explained how Chalamet portrayed Dylan’s celebrity. A heavy rain is a fall. Stopped “tearing” it.

“Timothy is very unusual in the film,” she said, recalling how he gave a full concert-like performance as Dylan on his first day on set.

Nodding to their history working together, Fanning said of Chalamet, “She plays the role so beautifully. [was moving]”

Fanning, a lifelong Dylan fan, admitted she was initially skeptical about how her friend would approach the role. “I was a harsh critic. I was like, ‘What’s Tommy going to do?’ And it just blew me away,” he added.

Fanning played Sylvie Russo, Dylan’s girlfriend and musician Suze Rotolo in the early ’60s.

Directed by James Mangold, A complete unknown Dylan’s rise as a revolutionary folk icon. The film, which stars Monica Barbaro, Edward Norton, and Boyd Holbrook, hits theaters on December 25.

Chalamet, who recently received a Gotham Visionary Tribute honor for the role, called immersing herself in Dylan’s world “the greatest education a young artist can receive.”
