MUMBAI: Blanket has launched a 10-minute ambulance service in select areas of Gurgaon from Thursday.
The service is currently in the testing phase and has been launched with five ambulances. “Profit is not the goal here. We will operate this service at an affordable price for customers and invest in solving this critical problem for the long term,” Founder and CEO Bandar Dhendsa said. The company plans to expand the service and expand it to all major cities in the next two years. It is not yet understood whether Blinkit will contract with hospitals to provide the service or how the model will work. As of now, ambulances are equipped with basic medical equipment.
