Bayern Munich has signed 18-year-old American attacking midfielder Budge Darbo. LAFC.
Darbo has signed a “long-term contract” and will join Bayern’s reserve team, the German club said on Wednesday.
“A big dream has come true for me. It’s nice to see where my path has taken me,” Darbo said in a statement.
“It’s always been my dream to pull on the shirt of this great club one day. The fact that it’s happened now fills me with great pride. I’m still battling jet lag but otherwise I’m good and I feel ready to begin.”
Darbo, who was born in The Gambia, has played twice for The Gambia. The United States Under 17 team. At the club level, he has played for Los Angeles’ reserve teams. The Philadelphia Union.
