A nail artist said she cried when she saw Cynthia Erev’s nails for The Wicked on the big screen.
Shay Osi, 33, from Basildon, Essex, worked with the actress to create nail designs for her character Alphaba, having known each other for 15 years.
She was also asked to do Ariyo’s nails for the green carpet at London’s South Bank. It became the Emerald City. For the premiere
“I was able to see her in the midst of everyone … I cried. There are so many that I cry over,” she said.
“I’m very hard on myself when it comes to my work and what I do. I was checking to see if I had it right, if I had it right and if it It was good.”
The 33-year-old started learning how to do nails at the age of 14 before pursuing a career at the age of 18.
He has built a celebrity client base including Candace Braithwaite and Maya Jama, and previously worked for the Netflix film Luther: The Fallen Son. Have worked on Ariyo’s nails..
He received a call from Ariyo in 2022 and soon began making designs.
“As the story begins, Alphaba looks a little shy and a little timid and not quite there, but she was able to have those fine green ombre nails that were still daring,” she said.
“When Alphaba comes into her own and arrives in the Emerald City, she becomes more confident in who she is…she has that confidence and her nails tell that story. That’s what I “I am and you will accept me for who I want to be.”

He did more than 35 sets of press on nails, making sure they were identical in style, color, shape and design, and each set took 90 minutes.
She said, “Cynthia outside of Alphabet is the one who enjoys getting her nails done… In the film I feel like it tells the story of Alphabet but Cynthia still manages to feel authentic throughout the film. ” he said.
“We always knew we wanted nails to be a part of the film… she’s touching the broom, she’s putting on her hat. You want your nails to match and look good on camera.”
Since acting in this film, she has received “Rain of Love” and worldwide acclaim.
