DHAKA: A Bangladeshi tribunal banned the broadcast of a “hateful speech” by autocratic former prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday, weeks after indicting her for killing protesters during the August revolution that They were expelled.
Bangladesh’s International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) is investigating Hasina on charges other than “mass murder” during weeks of unrest that forced her to flee the country to neighboring India.
Prosecutor Ghulam Manwar Hussain Tamim told reporters that Sheikh Hasina is accused in several cases which are being investigated by the tribunal.
