Defending champions Bangladesh defeated India by 59 runs in the final of the ACC U-19 Men’s Asia Cup in Dubai on Sunday.
Chasing a target of 199, Mohammad Oman-led India were bowled out for 139 with over 14 overs to spare.
Aman (26), Hardik Raj (24), KP Karthikeya (21) and C Andre Siddharth (20) were the only Indian batsmen to attempt to build on their innings. Six batsmen failed to cross double figures.
For Bangladesh, Iqbal Hussain Amon and Aziz Al Hakeem took three wickets each.
After being asked to bat first, Bangladesh posted 198 runs on the scoreboard thanks to the important contributions of Mohammad Shahab James (40), Razan Hasan (47) and Farid Hasan (39).
The pace duo of Yudhajit Guha and Chetan Sharma and spinner Hardik took two wickets each.
