“If this was a business, every single person in the office would be fired,” podcast host Aurora Culpo told Fox News Digital. “The fact that no one wants to accept responsibility and face gross negligence further proves the lack of real leadership in our state.”

Culpo, originally from Rhode Island, is a Manhattan Beach resident who fled the area with her children on Thursday.
“This disaster didn’t come out of left field,” Culpo said. “We were well aware of the possibility of a fire, and we had prepared for a third world country that pays the highest taxes in the world.
He added that expectations of government officials should be “extremely high” and that political accountability should be strictly enforced.
“Their incompetence costs lives, communities and billions of dollars,” Culpo said of both Gov. Newsom and Bass.
“The captain goes down with the ship,” he said. “Resign.”

“I don’t care if Newsom is a Republican or a Democrat for that matter,” he said. “Somehow, he’s deflecting the blame because he’s calling it a local problem.”
“What I put on my Instagram was that everyone who voted Newsom into office for a second term has blood on their hands, and I stand by what I say,” Culpo said. “This is a blue state. If we can’t blame the Democratic Party, who can we blame? If we can’t hold anyone accountable, how do we think changes will be made?”

Culpo said he is “for the environment, conservation, LGBTQ rights and diversity,” but that safety, above all else, must remain a priority in the hierarchy of needs.
“We’re not yet sophisticated enough as a society to worry about things like how diverse our firefighters are,” Culpo said.
