Rawalpindi: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday granted bail to 77 accused, including a Member of Parliament, in the case of arson, rioting, violence and interference in state affairs during the Tehreek-e-Insaaf protest at Liaquat Bagh.

The court directed all the accused to deposit a bond of Rs.

The city police station had registered a case against the accused under various provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

MPA Salar Khan Kakar, Ghulam Sarwar and other accused had filed bail applications in the court through their counsel.

On Thursday, the court granted bail to all the accused after hearing the arguments of the lawyers of the parties.

The court directed them to deposit a bond of Rs 1 lakh each and ordered that the accused be released if they are not wanted in any other case.

The court adjourned the hearing of Naseerabad Police Station Case No. 1560, Dhamiyal Police Station Case No. 1326/24 and Sadiqabad Police Station Case No. 3393/24 till January 15.
