Rawalpindi: Chief of the Pakistan Army General Syed Asim Munir has said that the armed forces of Pakistan are fully capable of countering all kinds of threats to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our beloved motherland with the determined support of the nation.
COAS visited troops participating in field training exercise near Narowal and Sialkot. In his interaction with the participants, he emphasized the importance of maintaining constant readiness to counter any possible threats posed by the adversaries. General Asim Munir was given a comprehensive briefing on the objectives and conduct of the exercise, aimed at inculcating professional skills and battlefield procedures necessary to meet emerging operational challenges.
During the exercise, coordinated fire and maneuver operations were conducted by various elements, including armor, infantry, mechanized infantry, artillery, air defense, army aviation and anti-tank guided missile units.
The exercise also demonstrated the effective use of electronic warfare capabilities and information operations designed to disrupt enemy communications and counter disinformation tactics in a modern battlefield environment.
The COAS spent the day in the field with the troops, appreciating their training standards, operational readiness and high morale. Earlier, COAS was received by Commander Gujranwala Corps and Inspector General of Training and Evaluation on his arrival at the exercise area.
