LAHORE: UET Zemal Society and Pink Ribbon Pakistan have signed a memorandum of understanding to raise awareness about breast cancer and take steps to improve women’s health. The agreement aims to facilitate joint awareness campaigns, educational workshops, research projects and the completion of Pakistan’s first dedicated breast cancer hospital that will treat 40,000 patients annually. Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir said, ‘UET is proud to collaborate with Pink Ribbon to address a critical health issue by leveraging the expertise of our faculty and students to create social impact. .’

Dr. Shahid Munir and Pink Ribbon CEO Umar Aftab signed the documents. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Zimal Society Advisor Dr. Rehana Sharif, Registrar Muhammad Asif, External Relations Director Dr. Muhammad Shafiq, Zimal Society President Mahira Khalid and others. Through this partnership, both organizations aim to educate the community, empower women and provide better health facilities. Professor Dr. Shahid Munir emphasized the importance of this initiative and said that UET is committed to improving women’s health and saving lives.
