ISLAMABAD: The Silk Road Culture Center Pakistan (SRCC) is all set to make its grand opening here next Tuesday (December 10), ushering in a new chapter of cultural exchange and diplomacy in the region.
According to SRCC chairman and noted artist and filmmaker Jamal Shah, the initiative will transform cultural exchanges and diplomacy in the region. “This land platform celebrates the rich tapestry of cultures along the historic Silk Road, while reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to global harmony and mutual understanding,” Shah told The News.
He said that SRCC is an embodiment of Pakistan’s commitment to strengthen relations with countries with which it has signed cultural agreements.
The SRCC Chairman said that by showcasing common heritage, fostering creativity, and hosting collaborative events, the center will play an important role in deepening ties and facilitating meaningful cultural interactions.
He said that this center will provide an opportunity to foreign embassies and cultural missions to showcase their art, traditions and heritage in a collaborative environment by promoting mutual respect and understanding. It will promote cultural diplomacy. Shah said that the SRCC stands as a first-of-its-kind private sector initiative in the country dedicated to promoting international art and culture.
