Director Michael Mann has revealed that he is working on his script. Heat 2.
The original action-packed film starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino was released in 1995. After thirty years, the film has received an update about getting a sequel.
Mann said while talking about his struggle with the script Collider That he has had sleepless nights during the creative process.
“I’m finishing the screenplay, and this morning at 2:30, he woke me up in the middle of the night.”
“So, I’m in the middle of writing a screenplay, and I start driving from L.A. at 3 in the morning, which is fantastic, there are no cars, and end up at Canter’s Delicatessen because it’s the only thing. which is open 24 hours”, he informed the publication.
Michael admits that he sat in the booth until 9:00 a.m. and finished four acts.
He further recalled: “It was ironic because this is the same booth I was sitting in when I wrote the first two episodes of Starsky and Hutch in the 1970s.”
“Then The Jericho Mile and maybe some early drafts of Heat,” the 81-year-old filmmaker continued.
