The family and friends of Shaheed Aitzaz Hasan, who sacrificed his life to save his classmate from a suicide bomber in 2014, have once again urged the government to honor its promises and officially recognize his unprecedented death. Recognize bravery.

Speaking to the media on the occasion of his martyrdom anniversary, Aitzaz’s family members expressed their disappointment over the failure of the government to fulfill the promises made after his martyrdom.

Aitzaz Hasan, a 15-year-old student from Ibrahimzai village in Hangu, became a national hero when he stopped a suicide bomber who attempted to attack his school, saving the lives of hundreds of students.

His courage won him posthumous recognition as a national martyr, with promises of support for his family and the construction of a monument in his honour. Hasan was posthumously awarded the Star of Shujaat for his bravery.

However, local people say that these promises have not been fulfilled yet. He demanded the government to take immediate steps to honor his memory and promises.

Aitzaz’s former classmate, Yasir Hussain, stressed, “We demand that, first, the government formally observes his death anniversary, and second, fulfill the promises made to his family at that time. ”

Aitzaz’s classmates also spoke of the void left by his absence, recalling their school days together: “I, along with Aitzaz Hasan and many of our classmates, met We all miss Shaheed Aitzaz Hasan very much.
