Popular actor Imad Irfani, who gained immense recognition for his role as Adeel in the hit drama Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum Mein, recently made an interesting revelation about his relationship with Pakistan’s national poet Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

Irfani made the revelation during her appearance on PTV’s Virsa: Heritage Revived, a show hosted by Allama Iqbal’s grandson Yusuf Salahuddin. The actor surprised the audience when he revealed his blood relation to the host as well as the famous poet of the East.

During the show, Irrfani expressed how much he always enjoyed watching the show on TV and YouTube, but this was his first time experiencing it live. “Visiting Uncle Yusuf is always a great learning experience,” Irfani said while talking about the show’s cultural significance and the efforts its hosts make to keep Pakistan’s rich heritage alive.

Yusuf Salahuddin, a passionate advocate for the preservation of Pakistan’s cultural heritage, then revealed that Irfani’s great-grandmother was actually Allama Iqbal’s sister, making Irfani a descendant of the poet. This revelation added a new dimension to Imad Irfani’s public persona, linking him to one of the most important figures in Pakistan’s history.

Imad Irfani also appeared in several other successful dramas such as Jaan Jahan, Cheikh, Jalan, and Shikoh, which further cemented his position as one of Pakistan’s leading actors.
