Achakzai demands inquiry into action against PTI protesters

Quetta: Chairman of Pashtun Khwaja Milli Awami Party and head of opposition alliance ‘Tehreek Tahafuz Ain Pakistan’ Mahmood Khan Achakzai has strongly condemned the operation against PTI protest in Islamabad.

Addressing a press conference at the Quetta Press Club, he alleged that the government was hiding the facts about the number of workers killed and injured and demanded that human rights organizations take notice. They demanded an independent investigation into the excessive use of state power and the accountability of those responsible.

Achakzai further said that the cases against Imran Khan are based on political motives, so he and all other political prisoners should be released immediately.

Achakzai added that two weeks ago, a minor was abducted from Quetta, but the law enforcement agencies have so far failed to recover him. He questioned that how is it possible that these agencies have no clue of the criminals? He criticized the government for mobilizing all its might against the political protests, adding that it had failed to take adequate action against the violence in Rahda Sham, Dikki and Karam, where dozens of innocent civilians were killed. are being killed.

Achakzai also criticized the 26th Constitutional Amendment and the role of PPP and JUI-F, saying that the constitutional framework agreed upon by all is being distorted.

He emphasized that democratic and constitutional supremacy as well as parliamentary sovereignty should be the top priority to get the country out of its multi-faceted crisis.
