Mountain rescue teams are searching for a missing person in an area that was flooded during the storm.
Northumbria Police said an “extensive inquiry” was carried out on Sunday after reports of concern for the welfare of a man in his 40s.
The North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team and the Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team confirmed that 22 volunteers were involved in the search near Alnock.
They are examining the area around Aberwickford where a small road crosses the River Allan near the village of Bolton in North Northumberland.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “On Sunday, we received a report of a well-being of a man in his 40s.
“Extensive inquiries, including searches, have since taken place and are ongoing.”
The storm brought severe weather to the UK from the early hours of Saturday morning, prompting a number of flood warnings.
Road and rail travel was disrupted and thousands were left without power across the UK.
Two men were killed. In separate incidents when trees fell on their vehicles.
Gusts of up to 58mph were recorded along the Northumberland coast and Ridsdale Camp received more than 48mm of rain on Saturday.
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service dealt with a number of calls relating to fallen trees, power cuts and surface water flooding affecting roads.
