A man has died after falling 300 feet (70 m) from the top of a hill.
The alarm was raised after the sharp edge fell at Blankathra in the Lake District on Thursday afternoon.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team volunteers recovered the man’s body, which was taken by air ambulance to the team’s base.
The team has thanked the other Greywalkers who went to help, and offered condolences to the man’s family.
