Mansehra: Members of the civil society organized a public forum (Olsi Jirga) to resolve individual and collective issues faced by men and women in Oghi tehsil on Saturday.
“We have created this non-political forum to provide legal and other assistance to people and ensure that women get their rightful share of inheritance and are not subjected to any form of violence,” Qazi said. Various committees were formed to deal with the individual and collective problems faced by the residents of Oghi and its surroundings.
Khalid said that people living below the poverty line cannot afford to approach the courts or health facilities due to financial constraints.
“We have formed various committees headed by relevant professionals to address the issues faced by people in their respective fields and public departments,” he added. On this occasion, Vice Chairman Mehmood Khan said that the Lawyers Committee will provide free legal assistance to women and other disadvantaged sections of the society. “Women are often denied their rightful share of ancestral inheritance. Our legal committee led by senior lawyers will take these cases to court.
