A better system

A better system

I talk to my friend, who is currently based in Australia, and she shares her experiences of how studying abroad is different from Pakistan. One key difference he shared is how professors support their undergraduate students. He said professors regularly meet with students if they need help, unlike in Pakistan, where students have to chase down teachers for help with assignments or quizzes. And, if a student gives a presentation, the professor will give them comprehensive feedback without making them feel inferior or a failure. Their education system does not promote grades but rather a holistic understanding.

What I liked most was the availability of resources, feedback, and the freedom to do research without fear or hesitation of making mistakes or being misjudged. The examination system is flexible and includes simple problem-based assignments. It also reduces the chances of students cheating in exams just to pass or get good marks. I believe that if we adopt some of these ideas, our education system will be greatly improved.
