Netflix has released a new trailer for its upcoming limited series, Apple Cider Vinegarwhich sheds light on the controversial story of defrauded Australian influencer Belle Gibson.
The series promises a fascinating look at the rise and fall of a welfare empire built on fraud.
“Set at the birth of Instagram,” reads the official logline. Apple Cider Vinegar Follows two young women who set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way. If all of this were true, it would all be incredibly impressive.

The trailer shows Belle, played by Caitlin Dever, as she meets Millie Blake (Alicia Debnam Carey), a popular blogger who actually has cancer.
Their initial friendship quickly turns into enmity. Milla’s friend, Chanel (Ayesha Dee), comments on Belle’s intentions, saying, “She just wants me to help her a little bit professionally.” “Of course she does. She’s competing with me,” replied Millia, familiar with ballet’s competitive streak.
Scenes from the trailer highlight Belle undergoing hospital imaging and gaining a massive Instagram following. Tensions escalated when Millia, determined to expose Belle, said in a phone call, “I want to destroy her.”
