Jasprit along with ‘Player of the Month’ Aizaz Sarfraz, awarded for Best Performance in Border Gavaskar Trophy

The Indian fast bowlers who performed well in the recent Border-Gaskar Trophy in Australia were rewarded for their hard work. Bumrah was selected ‘Player of the Month’ by IC. He has been awarded ‘Player of the Month’ by IC for December 2024. Along with him in this award, Australian captain and fast bowler Pat Cummins and South African fast bowler Pietersen were also recognized. Apart from Bumrah, Australia’s Anabel Suland was named the best female player of the month for December.

Jasprit Bumrah took a total of 32 wickets in 5 Test matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. He was also selected as the player of the year for this excellent performance. Bumrah took 8 wickets in the Perth Test, 4 wickets in the Adelaide Test, 9 wickets in the Bean Test, 9 wickets in the Melbourne Test, 2 wickets in the fifth and final Test match played in Sydney. The point here is that he was injured while bowling in the first innings, which made him unable to consider anything else. His highest wicket-taker in the entire country.

2024 A memorable year for Jasprit Bumrah, he also won the ‘Player of the Month’ award in June. Jasprit Bumrah became the only bowler in the world to win Player of the Month twice in a year. In terms of the team, apart from Bumrah, Yeshua Jaiswal is the only other player to be named Player of the Month for February 2024. Before Bumrah, India’s Shubham Gill won the Player of the Month twice in 2023. Be clear that the ‘Player of the Month’ award was won in 2021.
