A man has been charged with attempted murder after a nurse was stabbed at a hospital and left with life-changing injuries.
Roman Haq, 37, was also charged with possession of the blade following the incident on Saturday in the Royal Oldham Hospital’s acute medical unit. is
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the nurse was being treated in hospital for her injuries.
Mr Haque, from Ryton, Greater Manchester, is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, the force said.
Det Supt Matt Walker said GMP’s thoughts were with the nurse, and the force’s priority was to “support her, her family and her colleagues at this difficult time”.
