From thrillers to sci-fi, this new year has brought the return of some highly anticipated shows as well as new seasons like The Separation Season 2.

Here are five amazing shows to look out for in January 2025:

1) American Primeval

This is an exciting new limited series that will premiere on Netflix on January 9th.

Set in 1857 Utah, the show explores the birth of the American West, starring Taylor Kitsch and Betty Gilpin and directed by Peter Berg.

The six-episode limited series is all about the murder, rape, and mayhem of this relentlessly brutal world, as well as the violent men and women fighting for control of the new world.

2) Pit

Pit is an American medical drama television series that depicts the daily lives of healthcare professionals at a hospital in Pittsburgh.

The series explores personal crisis, workplace politics and shows the resilience of these professionals in times of emergency.

Produced by Warner Bros. TV, the show stars Noah Wyle, Tracy Effecher, Patrick Marvin Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Fiona Dorf, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Jeeran Howell, Shabana Aziz, and Kathryn Lanassa.

3) Separation Season 2

Separation is returning with season two.

The show’s synopsis reads, “This is a dystopian series in which workers ‘disconnect’ their minds and memories between their office and personal lives.”

Cast members Adam Scott, Bert Lauer, Patricia Arquette and John Turturro will all reprise their roles in the new installment.

Others who will join the cast include Patricia Arquette, Trammell Tillman, Christopher Walken, Dichen Lachman, Jane Tullock, and Michael Chernys.

The Separation Season 2 It will debut globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on January 17, while the remaining eight episodes will air weekly on the streamer. The finale will air on March 21.
