A man in his 30s has been arrested after a serious burglary in which a gun was pointed at a child in Ahoghill, County Antrim.
Police said they received a report at around 19:45 GMT on Monday that a man with his face covered had smashed a window at a property in Laurel Park.
The man then pointed the gun at a man and a child who were in the home at the time.
The occupants fled and the man was arrested.
He was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including aggravated burglary and theft, possession of a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of Class B and Class C controlled drugs.
The man is in police custody as investigations continue.
