Martin Lewis, known as a money saving expert, has decided to take a break from social media for a while now.
In a heartfelt message to his 3.1 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), as he admitted the decision wasn’t easy but felt it was the right thing to do.
Sharing the emotional post, he wrote: “I’m taking a break from social media and working for the festive break. I’d like to wish everyone a happy, peaceful, And a warm Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you for your continued support.”
“I’ll see you back in 2025 and ready to go, and hopefully save you some money next year too,” he continued.
Acknowledging that the holidays can be difficult for some, the 52-year-old journalist expressed her concern for those who are going through a tough time this Christmas.
“For those who find this time of year difficult, or sad, or lonely, it may be easier to get through it with more smiles than you expect.”
Samari also released a statement saying: “No matter how or how you celebrate, it’s common knowledge that this time of year can affect your mental health. ”
“You may feel like you’re not enjoying the things you normally do at this time of year. You may be worried about friends and family or other things going on in the world. You’re not alone. You may have all kinds of reasons to find this time of year difficult,” it continued.
